CANCELLATION POLICY
At Alpine Tours, we aim to offer a seamless and luxury transportation experience to all our customers. To ensure fairness and transparency, we have outlined the following cancellation and refund policies in accordance with Swiss and EU regulations.

​1. General Cancellation Terms

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled service will be eligible for a full refund.

Cancellations made between 24 to 48 hours before the scheduled service will incur a 50% cancellation fee, and the remaining 50% will be refunded.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled service or in the case of a no-show will be non-refundable.

2. Special Cancellation Conditions
(For Group Bookings & Event Transportation)

For group bookings and event transportation services (including corporate events, weddings, and other large-scale services):

Cancellations made more than 7 days before the scheduled service will be eligible for a full refund.

Cancellations made between 3 to 7 days before the scheduled service will incur a 25% cancellation fee.

Cancellations made within 72 hours of the service will be non-refundable, except under special circumstances such as force majeure (see Section 6).

3. Modifications to Bookings

If you wish to modify your booking:

Modifications made more than 48 hours before the scheduled service are free of charge, subject to availability of the requested service changes.

Modifications made within 24 to 48 hours before the scheduled service may incur additional charges or may be declined based on availability.

Modifications made less than 24 hours before the scheduled service are not guaranteed and may result in a full cancellation charge if we are unable to accommodate the request.

4. Late Arrivals and No-Shows

Airport Transfers: If you fail to arrive at the designated meeting point within 60 minutes after the scheduled pickup time for airport transfers, it will be considered a no-show and the service will be non-refundable.

Other Transfers: For other transfers, if you do not arrive within 30 minutes of the agreed pickup time, the booking will be considered a no-show.

If you anticipate a delay, please contact our customer service team as soon as possible. We will attempt to adjust your booking based on availability, though we cannot guarantee such changes.

5. Refund Processing
​
Once a cancellation is confirmed, refunds will be processed within 7 to 14 business days. Refunds will be made using the original method of payment unless otherwise agreed. Please note that depending on your bank or payment provider, there may be additional processing time beyond our control.

6. Force Majeure and Exceptional Circumstances
​
In cases of force majeure (unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, extreme weather conditions, strikes, or government restrictions), both Alpine Tours and the client reserve the right to cancel or modify the booking without penalty. Refunds or alternative services will be offered at Alpine Tours’ discretion, depending on the situation.
If you need to cancel due to serious illness, death in the family, or other documented emergencies, please contact us directly. We will evaluate such cases on an individual basis and may offer a full or partial refund depending on the circumstances.

8. Swiss and EU Consumer Protection Laws
​
This cancellation policy complies with Swiss law and EU consumer protection regulations, particularly those related to services booked online. For services booked within the EU, clients may be entitled to certain consumer rights under Directive 2011/83/EU, which allows for a 14-day "cooling-off" period for distance contracts. However, this does not apply to time-sensitive services such as transportation. All services provided by Alpine Tours are considered "time-bound" and thus exempt from the cooling-off rule.
